The Symphonie Aqua System VC allows adjustment for achieving optimal pressure in the cylinder. In this way, the physiological pressure ratio between the soft tissues and bony parts can be more precisely adjusted while bearing full body weight.

Symphonie VC App
The Symphonie VC is a free app from the Romedis GmbH. It is used by orthopaedic technology mechanics for calculating the recommended pressure during prosthetic fittings, using the Symphonie Aqua System VC.
When making the first impression for a properly fitting socket, the Symphonie Aqua System VC already makes it possible to regulate the hydrostatic pressure for the respective patient.
On the basis of the following parameters, the orthopaedic technician can calculate the recommended pressure with the VC App:
- the patient’s weight
- the size of the stump on the MPT
- the firmness of the connective tissue
- the athleticism of the patient
Using the VC control device, the prevailing pressure in the Aqua System can be aligned with the patient’s recommended pressure during treatment.

When applying this technology, optimal hydrostatic pressure takes place, allowing the individual body weight a perfectly even transfer onto the stump while making the plaster impression. The residual limb shape determines the socket form.
A simple application –
for simply perfect results
Consequently, the plaster impression is already able to provide a realistic image of the tissue and the bony structures. When making the plaster impression, the patient is already capable of burdening the stump with his/her entire body weight. At this point, valuable information has already been obtained regarding shaft volume, bony structures and sensitive pressure areas. The resulting stump compression also simplifies cast modification. Under a full load, the hydrostatic pressure in the cylinder counteracts the patient’s body weight and compresses the stump’s surface. Consequently, “total surface weight bearing” of the stump surface has been achieved.
Accurate fit – hydrostatic – individual
Not the ordinary, but extraordinarily simple. The plaster impression, by using hydrostatics, already provides an accurately fitting shaft while making the first impression. The Symphonie Aqua System’s innovative process enables assessment of the stump situation, while closely taking body weight into account and the accompanying compression.
